A great experience all round. The portions were generous, instructions to cook were easy to follow and listening to Spotify list of African music added to the experience. Food when cooked was delicious. Trivia information was fun and interesting. Packaging was sturdy and colourful. A lovely way to celebrate any special occasion or in just having a different kind of meal.

As a Nigerian I think this concept is lovely, cooking jollof rice is something that was a hit or miss to me, but the guide in this box makes it a hit each time. I absolutely loved the spice blends, and how aromatic it got while cooking. It was an experience I’d recommend 👌🏾

WOW! How amazing, delicious, ingredients were high quality.
My partner commented I think I would rather have this than a take away, not difficult to make but much tastier!

Really loved this company! The Jollof rice was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and easy to follow the instructions to cook it perfectly. We shared it between two people and the portion size was spot on, very filling and great value for money. You can really tell a lot of care goes into the food. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Would definitely order again and recommend it to anyone wanting to try African food!

We had the Jollof Chicken & Rice Recipe Box from the African Cart and it was a huge hit with the whole family, even the cautious (I don’t like spicy food) eaters! My son really enjoyed unpacking the box and preparing with me and everyone was delighted to have something new and different on the table. Thank you so much for introducing us to Nigerian cuisine and leading us step by step through the process. The playlist was a lovely extra touch.

We're starting our journey with one iconic African recipe — Nigerian Jollof Rice with Plantain and Chicken. It's bold, flavourful, and beloved across West Africa, making it the perfect dish to kick off our recipe box journey. Think of it as the first stamp in your culinary passport. Each season, we'll introduce new dishes from across Africa, building a collection of flavours, stories, and cultural experiences.

Most of our packaging is 100% compostable or recyclable. White kraft paper can be composted or recycled. Pouches and jars should be rinsed out before recycling.

Your next country is waiting.

Pick a box, set a date, and let the table do the travelling.
